In late 2019, the industry lost a shining star, Eugenia “Genie” Loukian. Eugenia was someone who believed in supporting and connecting with people from all areas of our business and was a champion for her peers and colleagues within the industry. As many of us worked with her professionally, she was also an active member and supporter of CTAM Canada; and we want to ensure her legacy will live on with those of us who knew her, and even those who didn’t.
In Eugenia’s memory, we are creating this new event to propel, discuss, and affirm leadership within our industry. Genie’s Breakfast will take place on March 5th at the Malaparte in the Heart of Toronto.
Our keynote speaker, Melani Griffith, VP Marketing and Sales at Google Fiber, will be sharing her stories of success, how to navigate change, overcome setbacks and inspire others. Following the keynote, Marilyn Barefoot of Barefoot Brainstorming, will run a brainstorming session that will be interactive and encourage attendees to share their stories and find solutions to common challenges. A network session to follow the event.
To honour Eugenia, this event will support a cause close to her, Look Good Feel Better. One of the most challenging aspects of a cancer diagnosis is the loss of identity that comes with it. For a woman, she is no longer the sister, daughter, friend - she is the cancer patient. It can rob her of her sense of self. Look Good Feel Better helps women and teen girls facing the difficult cancer journey feel more like themselves again. At the heart of the Look Good Feel Better program is a complimentary two-hour workshop which addresses the appearance-related impact of cancer and its treatment. Much more than that - Look Good Feel Better offers women a welcoming sense of community, where they can spend much-needed time on themselves and connect with other women facing similar challenges.
Purchase your ticket for Genie’s Breakfast for an opportunity to connect to the CTAM Canada community and support a beautiful cause. Please note this event is for CTAM Canada members only.
